NMM 628 BLUE EDIT, LUXURY FRAMED CANVAS - METALLIC
Each custom framed canvas begins with a 12-color Giclée print on a luxury substrate with either a matte or metallic finish.
A custom 38 mm premium wooden frame is crafted by hand and milled with a curved profile, minimizing contact with the face of the canvas; preventing unsightly impression marks and surface cracking.
The canvas print is then rolled over the frame and hand finished by a world renowned framing team, ensuring each corner fold is perfectly smooth and tight. Next, the addition of a wooden picture frame gives an elevated look to the exquisitely crafted stretched canvas.
The thin frame sits approximately 5mm from the edge of the canvas helping to create a floating border. Our framed canvas prints are highly recommended for statement pieces.
Our Matte Canvas substrate is a white, 100% cotton luxury canvas that meets the highest standards for density, color gamut, color graduation and image sharpness.
Our unique Metallic Canvas creates amazing effects that are unlike anything you’ve ever seen from a canvas print. The finish is silver metallic; created with a unique blend of pearlescent materials. The material works brilliantly with both color images — supporting a very wide color gamut — as well as black and white. This is simply the highest quality pearlescent canvas available.
MEET THE MICROMETEORITES
NMM 628 is a fascinating cryptocrystalline (CC-type) micrometeorite that features an aerodynamic shape, iridescent blue surface formation, and a large nickel-iron bead. Its glassy black olivine body is mainly composed of forsterite (magnesium silicate). NMM 628’s most unique characteristic is its other-worldly blue surface formation, which was caused by oxidation. Measuring 0.3 mm, NMM 628 was discovered by Project Stardust Founder Jon Larsen on August 2, 2016 in Eikeli, Bærum, Norway.
