NMM 2842 BLUE EDIT, LUXURY FRAMED CANVAS - METALLIC

Each custom framed canvas begins with a 12-color Giclée print on a luxury substrate with either a matte or metallic finish.

A custom 38 mm premium wooden frame is crafted by hand and milled with a curved profile, minimizing contact with the face of the canvas; preventing unsightly impression marks and surface cracking.

The canvas print is then rolled over the frame and hand finished by a world renowned framing team, ensuring each corner fold is perfectly smooth and tight. Next, the addition of a wooden picture frame gives an elevated look to the exquisitely crafted stretched canvas.

The thin frame sits approximately 5mm from the edge of the canvas helping to create a floating border. Our framed canvas prints are highly recommended for statement pieces.

CANVAS OPTIONS

Our Matte Canvas substrate is a white, 100% cotton luxury canvas that meets the highest standards for density, color gamut, color graduation and image sharpness.

Our unique Metallic Canvas creates amazing effects that are unlike anything you’ve ever seen from a canvas print. The finish is silver metallic; created with a unique blend of pearlescent materials. The material works brilliantly with both color images — supporting a very wide color gamut — as well as black and white. This is simply the highest quality pearlescent canvas available.

MEET THE MICROMETEORITES

NMM 2842 is an aerodynamic cryptocrystalline (CC-type) "turtleback" with a rare triangular shape and large nickel-iron bead with a sulfide rim. Its body is characterized by dark olivine composed of forsterite (magnesium silicate). While this micrometeorite is certainly attractive aesthetically, its most striking feature is its size. Measuring a whopping 0.8 mm, NMM 2842 is a supergiant and is Project Stardust’s biggest micrometeorite yet. This rare gem was discovered by Project Stardust Founder Jon Larsen on June 1, 2021 in Sarpsborg (Borgarsyssel), Norway.
